PSA: My tool roll led to a full pat-down at the airport...
I was flying to a jewelry fair in Milan... had my whole kit in my carry-on, pliers, cutters, even my little hammer. The X-ray machine beeped like crazy, and next thing I know, I'm in a side room with three guards. One guy unwraps my bezel pusher and stares at it like it's from outer space... he thought it was some kind of secret tool. I spent twenty minutes showing them how to use a prong lifter on a practice ring, which just made them more confused. Missed my boarding call because they had to call a supervisor to okay everything. Now I mail my tools ahead if I'm flying, but man, that was a trip. Funny how normal stuff to us looks so wild to other people...
