Unpopular opinion: My town's park sign went from a sad clipart mess to actually decent in about 8 months.
The new city manager hired a local design student for $500, and they just used better fonts and a simple icon. Has anyone else seen a public design project get a glow-up on a tiny budget?

Yeah, that old sign cost is why you hire a student. They get real world work and you get a fresh eye for cheap.
