Serious question, are we all just copying the same three color palettes from that one design blog?

I was looking for a fresh look for a brewery logo and realized every mood board on my screen had the same mustard, slate, and forest green combo. It started with a post on 'DesignDaily' back in March and now it's everywhere. How do you break out of a trend once you spot it?

Yeah, that mustard and slate combo is inescapable now. Feels like every new coffee shop and craft brand uses it. To break free, maybe look at old product labels or nature photos for colors that don't feel so processed.

Wait, are you telling me you can still find old product labels? @elizabethhunt I swear every time I go into a store now, even the vintage looking stuff is printed fresh with that exact mustard color. It's like they all bought the same sad paint bucket. Nature photos are a good call, but then you just end up with fifty shades of beige from rocks and sand. The whole thing makes my eyes tired. We need a law against using slate gray on one more wall.
