I used to think mood boards were a waste of time for logo work

I was working on a brewery logo and just kept hitting a wall with my sketches. My friend told me to 'just make a stupid Pinterest board' with images of old beer ads, vintage signs, and even photos of rust and peeling paint. Putting it all together in one place made the vibe I was missing totally click. What's a project where a simple visual reference totally saved you?

Honestly mood boards are a lifesaver for packaging too. I was stuck on a coffee bag design until I made a board of old seed packets and faded book covers. Totally unlocked the whole feel.
