Tried the cheap $15 fermentation weights from Amazon and totally regret it
They were these little glass discs but they didn't actually sink my kraut down far enough and mold got in around the edges. Should've just spent the $30 on the stainless steel spring ones from the brewing supply shop... has anyone else had that problem with the cheap ones?

My buddy Jenny lost a whole batch of sauerkraut to those cheap glass discs.

Honestly, I always cheap out on those but this makes me rethink that.
