Is it just me or is EVERYTHING being sold in old jars now? I see pickles in old pasta sauce jars at the flea market, my friend makes candles in old salsa jars. It feels like a whole new level of upcycling has taken over.

Oh man, I've seen this too. The real trick is checking the seal on the lid before you buy anything, especially food. A lot of those jars aren't meant for canning again, so the lid might not actually be safe. For candles or dry stuff it's fine, but I'd never buy pickles from a reused pasta jar at a market.
