TIL my $12 garage sale grinder's burr was held on by one loose screw, and it scared the heck out of me
Last Saturday I was halfway through a batch of beans when the grinder started making this awful clanking noise, so I unplugged it and took the whole thing apart on my kitchen table. Turns out the burr was attached with just one tiny screw that had backed out over who knows how many years, and I almost tossed the whole machine before I saw it. Has anyone else opened up a cheap old grinder and been shocked at how simple the guts are?
