DAE use a sock as a pour over filter because the real one vanished?
My paper filters ran out on a Sunday and the only store open was a gas station 12 miles away, so I grabbed a clean athletic sock from the drawer instead. Cut the toe off, rubber banded it over my mug, and it actually brewed a decent cup with way less sludge than I expected. My roommate walked in and said it looked like a tiny hostage situation. Has anyone else rigged a sock or shirt sleeve for coffee, and did it ever taste like laundry soap?
