Changed my mind about using a microwave to heat water for pour over

I always thought microwaving water ruins the taste for coffee. Then I watched a video from a roaster in Portland who did a blind taste test with 20 people. He boiled water three ways: microwave, electric kettle, and stovetop. Nobody could consistently tell which was which. That convinced me to try it myself for a week. Honestly, my morning pour over tastes the same and it saves me about 3 minutes of waiting for the kettle. Has anyone else run a blind test like that at home?

The Portland roaster James Hoffman did something similar and found the same thing. Water chemistry matters way more than heating method for coffee taste.
