Why does nobody talk about how fast you go through dish soap when you hand-wash everything?
I live in a small apartment with no dishwasher, so I hand-wash every plate, cup, and pan. I finally decided to track how much soap I actually use in a month. I hit the 16-ounce mark after just 22 days, which surprised me because I thought I was being careful. That's almost a full standard bottle every three weeks just for one person. It made me wonder if I'm using too much soap or if this is normal for everyone who hand-washes. Has anyone else ever measured how long a bottle lasts them? I'm trying to cut down but everything still seems greasy if I use less.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. Same situation, small apartment, no dishwasher. I honestly thought I was the only one going through soap like crazy. I did the same thing, tracked it for a month, and I swear I burned through a 16-ounce bottle in like 18 days. It's brutal. I tried cutting back but then my plates feel slick and greasy and it drives me nuts. You're not alone, this is just how it is for us hand-washers.

Brutal. Greasy plates are the worst.
