Spent $14 on a "premium" lemon soap, hands still feel like sandpaper
Bought that fancy castile-based lemon dish soap everyone raves about. It smells nice for about 30 seconds, then my knuckles crack like a bad sidewalk. The $2 store brand with the gross green dye leaves my hands softer, go figure. Anyone else paying extra for worse skin?

Yeah the "premium" lemon soap bit is spot on lol. I fell for that same trap with some fancy grapefruit bar soap a while back, felt like I washed my hands with sand mixed in. What actually fixed it for me was switching to a creamy glycerin soap with just a drop of essential oil, not that heavy castile stuff. My knuckles stopped cracking within a week and my hands actually feel clean instead of stripped raw. Also started putting on a cheap hand cream right after drying off, even the dollar store kind works way better than paying for fancy soap that destroys your skin. It's wild how the fancy marketing gets you, but your hands know the truth.
