My aunt in Tulsa swore Dawn Ultra was drying out my hands, she had no clue what she was talking about
So my aunt visited from Tulsa a couple months back and saw me scrubbing a lasagna pan with Dawn Ultra. She grabbed the bottle, sniffed it, and goes "that stuff will wreck your hands, hon." I kid you not, she went out and bought me a $9 bottle of some fancy plant based soap the next day. I used it for about two weeks and my hands were cracked and bleeding by day 10. Turns out the "gentle" soap had way more fragrance in it and that's what was actually irritating me. I went back to my $3 Dawn and my hands cleared up in like 5 days. She still swears the expensive stuff is better. I love her but I'll trust my own skin over her guess any day. Who else has been guilt tripped into buying a pricier soap that ended up being worse for their hands?

That stuff will wreck your hands, hon" is the same energy as my mom telling me not to crack my knuckles or I'd get arthritis. Funny how the cheap stuff does the job while the fancy bottle just empties your wallet and your skin.
