Left a sample bottle at a friend's place, now I can't go back

I brought my favorite lemon-scented dish soap to a potluck last month to help with cleanup, and somehow the bottle stayed there until this weekend. When I finally got it back, I realized washing her dishes with her cheap generic brand felt totally different, like the suds just vanished and my hands turned into sandpaper. Has anyone else accidentally upgraded their standards like this, or am I stuck being picky about dish soap forever now?
