Hot take: cheap dish soap works better than the expensive stuff for greasy pans
I tried that fancy Seventh Generation soap for months because everyone raves about it, but my cast iron skillet stayed greasy after every wash. Switched to the dollar store brand with lemon scent last week and it cuts through bacon grease in one pass with half the soap. Anyone else find that paying more actually makes your dishes worse?

Even a dollar store dish soap can't get through bacon grease in one pass" is a pretty bold claim. Are we sure we're talking about the same level of greasy here or just a slightly dirty pan?

It's the same thing with coffee creamer and trash bags - people assume higher price means better quality but sometimes the cheap stuff just does the job better because there's less filler and nonsense in it.
