Had to unlearn the whole foam = clean thing after 3 years
I used to dump extra Dawn in the sink until it looked like a bubble bath. Thought more suds meant it was working harder. My sister came over last week, looked at my dishwater and asked why I was using a whole bottle for one meal's worth of plates. She said foam does nothing except look nice, it's the surfactants doing the lifting. I feel dumb but she was right. My dishes never got greasy spots and I blamed the water temp. Switched to a dime sized squirt per load and they come out just as clean. Who else grew up thinking bubbles were the point?
