Had to pick between lemon verbena and lavender mint at the store yesterday
I ran out of dish soap mid rinse last night and had to make a late run to the grocery store. They had two new scents on sale, lemon verbena and lavender mint, both same price at $3.49. Usually I grab the plain lemon stuff but thought hey, let's try something. I grabbed the lavender mint because it smelled nice in the bottle. Got home and started washing a greasy lasagna pan and within 2 minutes my hands felt weirdly tingly and smelled like a garden that got attacked by a skunk. The scent was super strong and not in a good way, like someone dumped too much essential oil in there. Now I'm stuck with a big bottle I don't want to use and I'm kicking myself for not going with the lemon verbena. Has anybody else had a scent regret that bad with dish soap?

And oh man, I did the exact same thing with a "rose petal and honey" dish soap once and my kitchen smelled like a funeral home for a week. Thought I was being fancy, ended up washing my hands with lemon juice to get the smell off. Now I just stick with the boring scents and call it a win.

Seems like every time I try to be adventurous with a "natural" scented product it backfires, kinda like how organic toothpaste always tastes like disappointment.
