Appreciation post: finally stopped greasing my cast iron with dish soap residue on my hands
For 3 years I was scrubbing my skillet with a soapy sponge straight from the sink, then a guy at the hardware store in Boise pointed out the Dawn film was what made my eggs stick. Now I rinse my hands first and use a separate rag, and my cornbread has slid out clean 5 Sundays running. Anyone else notice their hand soap choice bleeding into their cast iron game?
