Wasted $450 on a "rebuilt" injector pump from a online rebuilder
I ordered a remanufactured injector pump for my 7.3L Powerstroke from some outfit in Florida, and it took 3 hours to install only for the truck to barely idle before dumping fuel all over my driveway. They wouldn't refund me because I had already installed it, called it "user error". Has anyone else had luck getting money back from these online diesel parts places?

Oh man, that sucks for sure. But I gotta say, "rebuilt" parts from some random Florida outfit is kind of rolling the dice. You saved a few bucks upfront but now you're out the whole $450 plus the time and hassle.

Wait hold up, @wilson.jana is it really that bad? I mean yeah it sucks the part died but $450 isn't exactly breaking the bank compared to what a shop would charge for a whole new OEM unit plus labor. Rebuilt stuff has been hit or miss forever, but Florida mechanics usually know their salt with AC parts since they deal with heat all year. I'd be more annoyed about the time wasted than the money honestly. You can usually get another rebuilt one swapped in under an hour and be back to cold air no problem. Sometimes you just get a dud and it's not the end of the world.
