Swapped out paper logs for a tablet 2 years ago, never looked back on breakdowns
Used to keep a greasy spiral notebook in the cab for service records, but a driver spilled coffee on it and we lost 3 months of oil change history. Now I punch everything into a cheap rugged tablet right after the job, and it saved my butt last week when a fleet auditor asked for receipts on a 2019 Cummins rebuild. Anyone else made the switch or still fighting the paper trail?

Caught my old logbook on fire last winter when a space heater tipped over in the shop, so I get the loss part. Now I just snap a photo of the odometer with my phone and text it to myself, easier than typing everything out.
