Stock injectors vs remanufactured ones on a 6.0 Powerstroke
I spent a whole Saturday swapping out injectors on my buddy's 2005 F-350 in Austin. He wanted to save cash and bought remanufactured ones from a parts store. I told him I'd help but I was skeptical from the start. After three hours of fighting with stiction and rough idle, we finally got them in. Truck ran okay but still had a miss at low RPM. Two weeks later one started chattering and he had to pull it again. I run OEM stock injectors on my own 6.0 and I've never had that problem. Has anyone else had better luck with one over the other?

Bought cheap bought twice buddy, remans are just paying for someone else's headache.

I gotta push back on that "bought cheap bought twice" thing because my experience has been the opposite. I've ran remanned injectors from a reputable rebuilder for 40k miles now with zero issues, just made sure they were flow matched and tested first (which a lot of parts store ones aren't, fair enough). Your buddy's problem sounds more like a bad batch or a poor rebuilder than a blanket rule about remans being junk.
