Pro tip: cut zip ties flush, not flat with the tool
Overheard a fleet guy say he trims them with side cutters at a 45 degree angle so there's no sharp edge left to cut your hands on later. Anyone else deal with bloody knuckles from old zip ties in tight engine bays?

Gotta admit, I learned that 45 degree trick the hard way after snagging my forearm on a zip tie in a friend's Subaru. Felt like I got attacked by a tiny plastic bear trap. Now I'm that weirdo carrying side cutters everywhere.
