Overheard a fleet manager say they skip injector testing on high-mileage trucks

I was grabbing parts at the Cummins dealer in Tulsa last Tuesday and overheard a guy on the phone saying they just swap injectors when they get a miss. Said they don't bother with pop testing or leak-off tests because it's faster. That scared me a bit. A bad injector can wash a cylinder down or dump raw fuel into the oil. Has anyone else run into shops cutting corners like this on older engines?

Did you hear if they're even checking the oil level or doing a simple cylinder cutout test first? Seems like skipping the easy checks could turn a small fix into a full rebuild.

Did they say whether they're pulling the valve covers to check for loose injector hold-down clamps first?
