Just found out 90% of diesel injector failures come from fuel contamination
I was reading through a technical bulletin from the other day and it hit me hard. I've been chasing injector problems on a 2018 Freightliner for two weeks, swapped parts left and right. Turned out the fuel had micro particles of sand in it from a dirty supply tank at a truck stop in Oklahoma. The bulletin said 90% of injector failures come from stuff like that, not the injectors themselves. Now I always check fuel samples first before doing any injector work. Has anyone else had a bad run with contaminated fuel from a specific station chain?

Does that bulletin mention how often fuel filters are changed too slow?
