Hot take: OEM injectors vs remanufactured ones. I'm team OEM now.

Put remanufactured injectors in a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia six months back. Saved $800 upfront. Had a misfire at 40k miles. Swapped to OEM Bosch injectors last week. Smoother idle, better fuel mileage. Anyone else make the switch and see a real difference?

Funny you mention that because I had the EXACT same thing happen with a 2012 Volvo VNL a few years ago. Put reman injectors in from some place online, saved maybe $600. Truck ran fine for about 35k miles then started smoking like a chimney on cold starts. Pulled them out and one was just DONE. The pintle was all crusty. Went back with OEM Delphi injectors and it's been a different truck ever since. Idles so quiet you barely hear it. The mileage went from 6.2 mpg to 6.8 mpg on a good day. Plus it starts up on the first crank every morning now instead of that rough shake.

That 6.8 mpg seems a bit optimistic, @andrew_wood72.
