Cracked block after a coolant flush, was fine for 2 weeks then boom

Did a full coolant flush on an old 6.7 Cummins last month, everything looked normal. Two weeks later driver calls in with steam pouring out. Pulled the head and the block has a hairline crack right by the freeze plug. Never had this happen before. Was the flush too aggressive or was it probably already cracked and the pressure change finished it? Anyone else seen this?

Man, that's brutal timing. I once cracked a block with a garden hose flush and my own truck laughed at me for a week straight. Probably was already a ticking time bomb, the flush just gave it a reason to let go.
