Cleaned the fuel system on a 7.3 Powerstroke and the difference was night and day

I ran a bottle of archoil through a customer's truck that was idling rough and had no power going up grades around here... after about 200 miles it smoothed right out and gained back some pep. Has anyone else seen big results from fuel system cleaners on older diesels?

I read a thread where a guy put some fuel cleaner in his old Cummins and it woke the thing right up after he let it run through a tank. That's pretty wild that you saw those results on the Powerstroke, especially the power coming back on grades. Makes you wonder how much gunk builds up in these older systems without us even knowing it.

Totally agree with you there. I feel the same way when I think about all the miles on my old truck. It's amazing what sitting around in the fuel system can do to performance over time. You never really know how much of a difference it makes until you try something like that. Definitely makes you wonder what else is hiding in there.
