Why is everyone skipping the patch test for color removers lately?

I had a client come in last Thursday with a scalp that was bright red and peeling. She said the last stylist she saw used a color remover without doing a patch test first. I get that we're all busy and clients are impatient, but this is basic stuff. I've seen three posts this week alone from stylists bragging about quick color corrections and none of them mentioned patch testing. Is it just me or is this becoming a trend? How do you guys handle clients who refuse to wait the 24 hours for a patch test?
