Went to a salon in Nashville and noticed nobody uses draping towels anymore

I visited this trendy new spot in Nashville last month and watched three stylists just skip the neck strips and towels entirely. They were just clipping wet hair straight onto capes with nothing underneath. I asked one of them about it and she said "it saves 5 minutes per client and nobody has complained yet." Has anyone else noticed this becoming a thing in their area?

That's wild but honestly it's just part of a bigger pattern I've been seeing everywhere. People are cutting corners on the little things that used to be standard, like how gas stations don't clean your windshield anymore or how restaurants just hand you a cup and point at the soda machine. It feels like everything is getting stripped down to bare minimum effort so businesses can save a few seconds. Pretty soon we'll be lucky if they even give you a towel to dry your own hands after washing them.

Ugh exactly! It's like the whole world is slowly turning into a self service checkout nightmare. I noticed it at the grocery store too, they don't even bag your stuff anymore unless you ask, and half the time the bagger is just staring at their phone. Pretty soon we'll be pumping our own gas AND checking ourselves out AND wiping down our own tables at restaurants. What's next, bringing our own plates?
