Went to a barber museum in Chicago and the old tools made me think
I saw a straight razor from the 1920s next to a modern trimmer. The razor had a real bone handle and needed a leather strop. The guide said barbers used to sharpen them every day before work. It made me miss the craft of keeping tools ready by hand. Do you think new stylists learn enough about tool care?

Consider how tool care taught respect for the craft itself, not just the gear.

But what if the new tools just need a different kind of care? I get what @angela890 means, but maybe that respect now goes into learning complex machine maintenance instead.
