Switched from razor cutting to point cutting for my fine-haired clients last month in Omaha

I was always a razor cutter for that soft texture until a friend showed me how point cutting gave my clients way more volume without the frizz, has anyone else made that switch and noticed the difference?

Oh really? I went the other direction, I had to stop point cutting fine hair altogether. Too many of my clients ended up with see-through ends that looked even thinner after a few weeks of growth. Razor cutting gives me way more control over weight removal and keeps that solid line when they want a blunt cut. Plus with point cutting on fine strands I was getting those random long pieces poking out after blow drying that looked totally uneven. Have you not run into issues with the layers growing out choppy and uneven with point cutting?

...and here I thought razor cutting was the only way to avoid looking like a poodle on fine hair. Guess I'll have to apologize to my shears for neglecting them all these years. My clients in Omaha are thrilled they don't need to schedule a frizz-taming appointment the next day anymore.
