Serious question, has anyone else switched from a regular razor to a straight razor for neck fades?
I used a cheap safety razor for the first 6 months at my shop in Tacoma, but the lines were never as sharp as I wanted. My boss finally made me try his old straight razor last week, and the control is just on a whole other level, no contest. What's your go-to tool for getting that clean line on a tight skin fade?

Your boss made you try it" is sending me, that sounds like a barber shop hazing ritual! I can just picture him standing over your shoulder while you try not to nick a jugular. But hey, if it works, it works. That control must be insane, though I'd be sweating bullets the whole time.

Ever think about how much trust you need to have in your boss to try something like that? It's not just about skill, it's about believing they won't let you mess up badly. That kind of pressure either makes you learn fast or makes you quit. I bet you either become their best friend or start looking for a new job right after. That's a wild way to find out if you can handle the real stress of the work.
