I was totally wrong about those color-depositing shampoos
For like a year I told clients they were a waste of money. Figured nothing beats a good toner at the bowl. Then I used the red one from a brand I forget the name on my own faded copper last month after a trip to the beach. It honestly brought back so much warmth I was shocked. Has anyone else had a product they hated at first that ended up being a lifesaver?
Girl you are totally right about those working but I gotta say it's not really a shampoo it's more of a conditioning treatment because most of them don't have enough cleaning power to strip buildup. The red one you used probably had a direct dye that deposits on porous hair really fast but if you use it on clean dry hair it will stain way stronger than on wet hair in the shower. I made that mistake with a blue one once and ended up with patchy spots on my ends.
