I switched from a 10 minute bleach check to a 5 minute one after a client in Phoenix had major breakage last summer.
Now I always do a quick strand test every 3 minutes because that heat can change the processing time way faster than you think, anyone else adjust their timing for different climates?

Oh man, I learned that lesson the hard way too lol. I once fried a test strand in like four minutes flat because I forgot how hot my own bathroom gets in the afternoon. It looked like a tiny piece of straw, I was so mad at myself. Now I'm checking constantly, it's like a nervous habit. That desert heat or even just a humid summer day really does speed everything up.
