Brought a client back from purple toner and they asked for orange highlights
Spent 45 minutes lifting a level 4 to a perfect beige blonde last Tuesday, and the client shows me a photo of a copper balayage they want on top of it. Do people not realize toner deposits color and you can't just slap a warm shade over cool base without it going muddy?

Cringe so hard my soul left my body for a second there. 45 minutes of work and they want to ruin it with copper over that perfect beige.

Last week my friend at a salon had a client ask for peachy highlights right after a full ash toner and she had to talk her out of it for like ten minutes. The client was dead set on a warm copper no matter what and didn't get why it would end up looking like a dirty mess. She finally convinced her to at least wait two weeks before doing anything else.
