Best week of my chair time in years, and worst, back to back. Was it me or the clients?
Two weeks ago I had a Tuesday where three color corrections in a row came out exactly how I pictured them, and a client from Wichita hugged me at the desk. Then that Friday a lady brought in a box dye job she'd done two days before and I spent 40 minutes just getting her to trust that I wasn't going to make it worse, and the result was fine but flat. Same hands, same tools, same formulas, so I keep going back and forth on whether the week was about my skill or just who walked through the door. I can't tell if it was my mood rubbing off on them, or if some clients are just easier to read from the consult. Do you track your weeks like that, and do the bad ones tell you something or do you just let them go?
