Has anyone else found a weird little hack like that for resistant hair, or was I just lucky this time?
Read about adding a bit of clear developer to stubborn color. It helps open the cuticle without extra lightener. Your conditioner trick might work the same way.
Interesting, @janaa52. So the developer just acts as a chemical key to open the hair up? That makes me wonder if a low volume, like 5 or 10, is the sweet spot for this trick without causing damage.
