Went to a town hall meeting in Springfield and the moderator kept cutting people off
They had a rule about two minute speaking slots. The moderator would ring a bell when time was up. Saw three people get cut off mid-sentence. One woman was asking about park safety and just stopped talking. Felt like the rule stopped real discussion. How do you run a meeting so everyone feels heard?

Two minutes is barely enough time to read a specials board. Maybe they need a warning bell at ninety seconds so people can wrap up their point.

Wrap up their point" is exactly right. I used to think tight time limits kept meetings moving, but seeing people rush and stumble changed my mind. A short warning would actually help things end on time.
