Tried that community garden plot for the first time last spring

Planted my tomatoes way too close together because I wanted to maximize space, and they got blight so bad the HOA sent me a letter about unsightly vegetation. Anybody else have a garden experiment go sideways in a hurry?

Actually, stakes go in before planting so you don't damage the roots later on.

Ever tried building a frame or cage for them? I propped mine up on tomato stakes after they got too crowded and it saved what was left. A little support goes a long way with those things.
