Our neighborhood watch group fell apart after the lead guy moved away
We had a solid system going for about 2 years where we'd do weekly patrols and check on elderly folks, but when Mike left for a job in Phoenix last month, the whole thing just stopped. Nobody stepped up to organize the schedule or send out the emails, and now I'm not sure how to get it back together without seeming pushy. Has anyone rebuilt a local group after a key person left?

My friend's block club revived after a simple potluck meeting last spring.

Yeah, but that's a best case scenario. For every block that works out, there are ten where nobody shows up, or the same two people end up doing all the work forever. A potluck sounds nice until you're stuck with three bags of chips and have to listen to Mr. Henderson complain about property taxes for an hour.
