Lost my volunteer gig at the Pasadena food bank after 3 shifts, and I think the coordinator was right
I started volunteering at the food bank on Fair Oaks Ave back in March. After my third shift, the coordinator, a guy named Marcus, pulled me aside and said I was spending more time reorganizing the canned goods than actually moving boxes out the door. I was pretty annoyed at first but he explained they lose 20 minutes of sorting time whenever a new person tries to "fix" the shelves on their own. So how do you all handle a volunteer who means well but slows things down? Do you just let them figure it out or say something?
