Debate: Hand watering vs drip irrigation for raised garden beds
I used to water everything by hand every morning, like a ritual, but after my back gave out last summer I switched to a cheap drip system from Home Depot. Which method actually saves more water and keeps plants healthier in the long run?

Oh wow, you went from hand watering as a ritual straight to a cheap drip system from Home Depot? That's a pretty big jump, I'd be nervous about the quality of those budget fittings. In my experience, the cheaper drip systems can crack or clog way faster than you'd expect, which might waste more water in the long run than hand watering ever did.
