Bought a $30 bidet attachment on a whim and my TP bill dropped by half in 2 months

Saw it on sale at a hardware store in Phoenix and figured why not. Took like 20 min to install and honestly I should've done this years ago. Anyone else made a random bathroom upgrade that actually paid off?

but are you actually going through less toilet paper, or are you just noticing it less because you're using the bidet for the main cleanup? i feel like that's the real question here because my friend got one and said his tp usage dropped but then he realized he was still using the same amount for drying off after. he ended up buying a little towel setup instead which honestly sounds kind of gross to me but he swears by it. i'm genuinely curious how you're handling the drying part without using a ton of paper

Guess I just don't see the drying part as a big deal. A quick pat with two squares is enough for me, especially since the bidet gets things 90% clean. My wife uses one of those little washcloths she changes out every couple days and it's not gross if you hang it to dry right. Feels way less wasteful than grabbing a wad of paper every time. Your friend's setup sounds fine as long as he's not leaving a damp rag sitting in a ball.
