She was talking about helping her sister pick a paint color. Made me think about all the posts here. We're not giving rules, we're sharing what worked on our own random day. Like that time I told someone to reboot their router twice, not once, because my old apartment had weird wiring. It's just my Tuesday story. What's a piece of advice you gave that's really just a story from your life?

Totally get that. See it all the time when people ask me about cars. They want a universal fix, but I'm just telling them what worked on one specific Honda Civic on a rainy afternoon.
