Why does nobody talk about how loud comic cons actually are?
I visited MegaCon Orlando last month and couldn't believe how bad the noise was. Standing near the Artist Alley for just 20 minutes gave me a headache from all the overlapping conversations and booth speakers.

Right, so I always bring those foam earplugs with me now. The kind you can get at any drugstore, not the big muff ones. Just pop them in when the noise gets bad and they cut out the background roar but you can still hear people talking right next to you. Learned that the hard way after my first con left me with a splitting headache and ringing ears for two days. Also helps to step outside for five minutes every hour, even if it's just the hallway.
