Went to the big comic con in Chicago and the main thing I noticed was how many people were just there to get stuff signed to sell online.

That's the flip side of making these things so mainstream now. It's basically turned into a side hustle for some folks, which kinda sucks for the fans who just want a cool memory. You can spot them a mile away with their empty totes and multiple copies of the same book. Honestly, it probably drives up the price for everyone else too, which is annoying. The whole vibe just feels more like a marketplace than a celebration sometimes.

Totally feel that. It really does kill the mood when you're just trying to enjoy something and it feels like a business deal. Saw a guy last time with a whole suitcase just for flipping stuff, and it just made the line miserable for everyone. Takes the fun right out of it and makes everything harder to get. Wish there was a better way to keep it for the actual fans.
