Went to a comic con in Nashville and saw a guy dressed as a 90s era Spider-Man arguing with a vendor over a variant cover
Honestly, I was just there to browse back issues, but this dude in a full spandex suit was dead serious about a $50 Todd McFarlane cover being misgraded. He kept pulling out a magnifying glass and pointing at a tiny scratch on the spine. The vendor just stared at him for like five minutes before saying, 'Buddy, it's a 9.2, not a 9.8, take it or leave it.' Has anyone else run into a fan who takes grading this seriously?

Gotta admit, I'm kinda on the vendor's side here. It's just a comic.

Wait, @clairebaker, is it really just a comic or is it a 0.00001 ETH commemorative piece of internet drama? Either way, I'd frame it and hang it right next to my "I survived the great comic debate of '24" trophy.
