Vent: I used to buy every single variant cover and it nearly broke me

For about five years, I felt like I had to get every cover for my favorite titles, sometimes spending over $100 a week. The change came last fall when I realized I was just storing them in boxes, not even enjoying them. I switched to only buying the main cover and maybe one variant if the art is truly special. Has anyone else managed to kick the variant cover habit and how did you do it?

Seriously? That sounds like giving up. The hunt for the perfect variant is half the fun of collecting, and having a complete set feels like a real win. You're just building a more interesting collection for the future.
