The convention tip that saved me $40 on back issues

I was at the Cincinnati Comic Expo last fall and saw a guy pulling long boxes out from under the dealer tables instead of grabbing the ones up top. Found a full run of Byrne's She-Hulk for cover price just because nobody else thought to look low.

Man, that's a solid tip! I did something similar at a smaller show last year but it was way dumber than that guy. I was looking for some old New Mutants issues and this one dealer had stacks of long boxes just sitting on the floor under his table, like he was hiding them from the sun or something. I practically crawled under there and found a whole bunch of early X-Factor stuff that nobody had pawed through yet. The books were a little dusty but the prices were like they were from 1995. It's funny how folks just zero in on the top boxes and ignore the bottom ones like they don't exist. Sometimes you gotta get low to find the good stuff.

Did you check under their table cloth too? Thats where the real gold hides.
