That time a comic shop owner told me I was reading wrong

I used to rip through 5-6 issues a week and never remember a thing. This old guy at Cosmic Collectibles in Portland said I was treating comics like homework and told me to pick ONE panel per page and really look at it. Now I spend 20 minutes on a single issue and actually catch the art details.

3 years ago I would've rolled my eyes so hard at this but now I'm just like "yep, that tracks with my disaster of a skincare routine.
