Shoutout to the dollar store for fixing my comic storage problem

I kept having my long boxes get all soft and bendy on the bottom after about 6 months. Tried buying those plastic bins but they were $15 each and that adds up fast with 8 boxes. Then I grabbed 4 plastic cutting mats from the 99 cent store and slid one under each row of comics inside the box. Been 3 months now and not a single box has sagged. Has anyone else found a cheap fix for storing floppies?

Hearing that cardboard just sags again is good to know, would've wasted my time trying that. The cutting mats are cheap enough to grab a handful and forget about it. Pretty solid find for keeping those long boxes from turning into a mess.

Used those same cutting mats. Worked like a charm. Also tried sliding flattened cardboard boxes under the comics but they just sagged again after a few months. The mats hold up way better.
